What a made-to-measure installation includes

Choice of awning type: full cassette, semi-cassette or open awning, according to the required fabric protection and appearance.

Choice of fabric: dimensions, weight and colour selected with you from the Dickson, Sauleda, Serge Ferrari or Sattler ranges.

Measurement: width, projection and fixings calculated for your facade, with the wind-resistance class checked against NF EN 13561.

Manual or motorised configuration: crank or motor, with an optional wind-sun sensor.

Made-to-measure fitting: fixings suited to the support (facade, wall or ceiling), precise adjustments, extension and retraction tests, then a full operating walkthrough at handover.

Integrated safety: for motorised versions, connection compliant with NF C 15-100.

After-sales support included: follow-up after installation, with a team available if needed.

Which awning should be installed?

The choice mainly depends on exposure and the protection wanted when the awning is retracted.

  • Open awning

    a compact option for a sheltered position. Fabric and arms remain exposed when retracted.

  • Semi-cassette

    the cassette protects the fabric while the arms remain visible when closed.

  • Full cassette

    the fabric and arms are enclosed when the awning is closed.

Which type of awning should I choose?
An open awning is best suited to sheltered positions, a semi-cassette protects the fabric, and a full cassette protects both fabric and arms when retracted. The wall survey confirms the choice.
Can you install a motorised awning?
Yes, when the selected model and available power supply permit it. The motor and control are defined in the quote.
Do I need permission before fitting?
Depending on the building and local rules, co-ownership approval or planning permission may be required. The customer should check before work starts.
Does an awning provide rain shelter?
