Shasama Fermetures installs roller shutters for houses, flats and co-ownerships across Île-de-France. The on-site survey helps choose between a renovation box, a traditional tunnel box, a window-and-shutter unit or a solar version, then define the material, operation and finish before quoting.

The solution depends on the building. In renovation, an external box can equip an opening that was not designed for a shutter. In a new build or substantial renovation, the mechanism can be integrated into an existing box or a housing built into the masonry. Before making a proposal, we record the dimensions and check the fitting constraints. We also assess the curtain material, operating method, controls and finish.

A roller shutter installer for Paris and Île-de-France

Our teams work at customers' homes and in co-ownerships, on windows and openings already fitted or being protected for the first time.

The on-site survey links the opening dimensions, access to the masonry, the desired material and operation to the best-suited configuration.

These checks allow us to prepare a made-to-measure roller shutter. They reduce the risk of rubbing, poor winding or unnecessary loss of daylight after fitting.

To place this service within our roller shutters, see the hub covering the four available configurations.

What a roller shutter installation includes

Surveying the window and access to the masonry before choosing the configuration.

Choosing between a renovation box, a traditional tunnel box, a window-and-shutter unit or a solar version.

Selecting the curtain material, insulated aluminium or PVC depending on the need.

Manual or motorised operation, Somfy, Bubendorff or Simu depending on the configuration.

Defining the controls and safety devices suited to the use.

Fitting, adjustments and commissioning with a full up/down test.

Selection of the material, colour, slat profile and bottom slat.

Choice of manual operation or wired, radio or solar motorisation.

Definition of controls and options compatible with the selected product.

Manufacture to the approved dimensions, followed by fitting the box, shaft, curtain and guides.

Adjustments, full testing and an operating walkthrough.

Which configuration should be installed?

The configuration depends on access to the masonry, the type of project and the budget.

  • Renovation box

fits flush without any wall opening, for a quick replacement.

  • Traditional tunnel box

integrates into the masonry and stays invisible from the outside.

  • Window-and-shutter unit

window and shutter fitted in a single operation, for optimal sealing.

  • Solar kit without wiring

self-powered motorisation when mains power isn't accessible.

  • Finish and colour

RAL-coated aluminium in any shade or PVC in standard colours.

  • Manual or motorised

strap, crank, wired, radio or solar depending on the comfort sought.

  • Controls and automation

Depending on the motor, the control may be wall-mounted, portable or grouped. Some equipment also supports timed programming or app control. These functions require compatible motors, controls and, in some cases, a smart-home gateway.

  • Safety and comfort

Automatic locks, rigid fasteners or a reinforced bottom slat can limit curtain lifting. These features are not available on every range. Wind resistance and the level of security depend on the complete shutter, its dimensions, installation and selected components. They must be checked in the product documentation. A roller shutter must not be described as impenetrable.

How much does a roller shutter installation cost?

The price depends on the dimensions, fitting type and material. The operation, controls, finishes and site access also affect the price.

The site survey distinguishes between a renovation installation, traditional integration and complete replacement of an existing shutter.

Roller shutter with external renovation box

From 546 € TTC

Traditional roller shutter in an existing box

From 496 € TTC

Manual roller shutter

From 197 € HT

Wired or radio electric roller shutter

From 296 €

Solar roller shutter

From 645 € TTC / unit for orders of 5 or more

Complete replacement of an existing shutter

From 387 €

Why a quote after the survey?

Two openings of the same size do not always present the same constraints. The substrate, lintel depth, box position and cable routing can change the preparation and fitting time.

The price depends in particular on the following factors:

  • Fitting type: renovation, existing box or tunnel box
  • Opening dimensions and box size
  • Curtain material, profile and finish
  • Operating method: manual, wired, radio or solar
  • Number and type of controls
  • Condition of the substrate and required fixings
  • Access to the window, opening and facade
  • Any removal and disposal of the old shutter
  • Planned connections and adjustments
  • Options compatible with the selected range

Frequently asked questions about installation

Which roller shutter configurations do you install?
We fit four configurations: a renovation box, a traditional tunnel box, a window-and-shutter unit and a solar version. The solution is confirmed after surveying your window and its access.
Renovation or traditional: what's the difference?
The renovation box fits flush without opening the masonry, in a single visit. The traditional box needs access to the works but stays invisible from the outside once fitted.
Is the window-and-shutter unit only for new builds?
No, but it is mostly used when the window is replaced at the same time as the shutter, since both are assembled in a single operation.
Can a roller shutter be motorised at installation?
Yes, we offer wired, radio (Somfy, Bubendorff or Simu) or solar motorisation depending on the configuration and the power supply available.
Which safety devices are installed?
Every shutter includes automatic locks and a reinforced end slat. These safety features are qualitative. No anti-intrusion resistance class is claimed.
Which colours and finishes are possible?
Aluminium is RAL-coated in any shade. PVC is offered in standard colours (white, grey, wood effect depending on the range).
What lead time should I expect for fitting?
The lead time is confirmed with the quote after the survey and configuration approval. It depends on manufacturing, options and site access.
What affects price and warranty?
Price depends on the configuration, material, operation and finish. The applicable warranty is stated in the quote and follows the selected configuration.
Is permission required in Paris?
A visible installation can alter the building exterior. In Paris, fitting roller shutters on a facade requires planning permission and, in a co-owned building, the approval required by the building rules. Before ordering, consult your managing agent and the planning authority. Rules may be stricter in a protected area or on a heritage building.
Which colours and finishes are available?
Available colours depend on the material and manufacturer. Powder-coated aluminium generally offers a wider choice than PVC. The box, guides, curtain and bottom slat can sometimes use coordinated finishes. The colour must also comply with the applicable facade and co-ownership rules.
What installation lead time should I allow?
The schedule is confirmed after the survey and configuration approval. It depends on manufacture, finishes, the number of shutters, access and any required permissions. The lead time appears on the quote or approved order document.
How should a new roller shutter be maintained?
Regularly remove dust and debris from the slats and guides. Clean the curtain with a soft cloth or sponge and soapy water, without abrasive products or a pressure washer. Do not force a shutter that resists. Unusual noise, uneven movement or a crooked curtain should be checked before the fault worsens.
What price and warranty should I expect?
The price depends on the configuration, material, dimensions, operation and fitting conditions. A quote is prepared after the survey. The warranty varies with the shutter, motor, accessories and manufacturer. Its duration and scope must appear on the quote and documents supplied with the equipment.
